A fast-growing channel that needed creative leadership at scale
Simplilearn's YouTube channel was already at 500K subscribers when I joined the team. Growth was happening, but the creative production was bottlenecked. There was no standardized workflow, no template system, and the team was producing content through brute-force effort rather than a scalable process. Every video was a one-off. Every deliverable required senior attention from start to finish.
Built the machine, then ran it
Managed a team of eight motion designers and editors. Owned the entire YouTube pipeline, shipping 200 videos a quarter across product marketing, testimonials, and paid ad creatives. Ran standups, stakeholder syncs, and cross-team coordination.
Built template libraries so the team could ship without bottlenecks. Standardized the workflow from brief intake through QC to publish. Created an A/B testing framework for thumbnails and titles. Tracked results by geography to understand market-specific performance.
Toolkit: Adobe Creative Cloud (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Envato Elements for production assets.
The brand I was designing for
Each creative decision was made against a specific brand framework. Here is how Simplilearn's brand was structured.
The Sage
With Magician undertones. An authoritative yet approachable career coach that transforms knowledge into career outcomes.
Bharat's Aspiring Professionals
24–35 year olds in Tier 2/3 cities. Seeking salary jumps or career pivots into tech.
University Co-Branded Outcomes
Top university content + job-aligned curricula + flexible financing. Selling salary outcomes, not certificates.
Authoritative + Motivational
Data-driven and outcome-obsessed. Blue and white Indian color palette signaling trust.

The numbers behind the machine
Every video, every format across the Simplilearn YouTube channel
200 videos every quarter across program promotions, paid ad creatives, B2B brand films, and performance social content. Each crafted in After Effects and Premiere Pro with assets from Envato Elements.
Creative: 2D Animation and Milestone Content
Projects that pushed beyond the template library: character animation, milestones, and conceptual pitches.
Demand Generation: Course Program Promos
High-production program marketing videos blending 3D motion graphics with university partnership branding.
Performance Ads: Paid Social and Display
Data-driven ad creatives built for conversion. A/B tested on thumbnails, hooks, and pacing.
B2B and Brand: Enterprise Storytelling
Longer-form content for enterprise decision-makers and partner ecosystems.
Player-coach, not just manager
Produced alongside the team while running the operation. Daily standups, weekly stakeholder syncs, monthly geo-segmented reviews, quarterly planning aligned to product launches.
The team reported directly to me. I handled hiring, onboarding, and workload distribution. When someone was stuck on animation, I sat with them. When deadlines moved, I picked up deliverables myself.
The template system was the biggest force multiplier. Pre-built structures for intro, lower thirds, b-roll guides, and outros cut production time by 25% while keeping quality consistent.
Built the creative machine behind India's largest EdTech YouTube channel
The channel grew from 500K to over 2 million subscribers. View rate exceeded 35%. A/B testing drove an 18% CTR improvement. Turnaround dropped 25% after the template system was adopted.
The system survived after I left. Templates, workflow, QC checklist, and stakeholder cadence continued to run. Built as infrastructure, not something dependent on one person.
This case study shows I can lead a creative team at scale and build systems that outlast me.
